Columbia Business School
Christopher Cashman is the Executive Director of Public Relations in the Dean's Office. The Public Relations team raises the Business School's brand visibility by promoting its ideas, innovations, and community members to external audiences. Christopher conducts market research on the Business School's brand to strengthen its competitive position, hosts media and public speaking seminars for community members, builds and manages relationships with journalists at top media and influencer outlets, and serves as the primary point of contact during crisis communication situations. Prior to joining the Business School in February 2013, Christopher was a longtime communications strategist who supported corporate executives at General Motors and policymakers and elected officials at the state and federal levels. Christopher holds a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Psychology both from Drew University and is completing work toward an M.A. in Persuasive Communication at Georgetown University. Christopher is from Bordentown, New Jersey. He received PR Week Magazine's 40 Under 40 National Award in 2017 for communications and PR innovations.
