Presentation

My research seeks to understand the social and historical conditions of contemporary organization. One particular research question that has guided my most recent work is how we can redeem the ruined resources of the past – the neglected, the obsolete, the slightly dilapidated – as sources for contemporary creativity and ways of re-imagining the future. I have a long standing interest in the interface of the humanities and organization studies. Using a conceptual lens inspired by the work of Walter Benjamin, Fredric Jameson, and Cornelius Castoriadis I look for clues and traces of temporal actions and strategies that point to novel engagements with the past, the future and our contemporary (organizational) situation.

Primary research areas

  • Organizations Studies
  • Finance Capitalism
  • Organizational Creativity
  • The ''White Spaces'' of Organization
