Biography

Chee-Mang Ng received the B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. degrees in physics from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 1992 and 1996, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the National University of Singapore (NUS), Singapore, in 2001.,Since then, he joined the Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Ltd. as a Process Engineer and later as a Process Integration Engineer under fabrication operation. He was involved in developing device technology of various technology generations for communication applications. He was once the Program Manager overseeing all joint research programs with two universities in Singapore. He was an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Department of Physics, NUS. He is currently a Senior Principal Engineer with GLOBALFOUNDRIES Singapore Pte. Ltd., Singapore, (formerly as Chartered) specializing in process design for quality assurance. His research interests include novel complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor device structures, structural and electronic studies of strained silicon, advanced materials for next-generation interconnects and fabrication of silicon-based nanowire transistors.
