Kelley School of Business
Charles Escue is the Extended Information Security Manager for the University Information Security Office (UISO) at Indiana University (IU). With over twelve years of IT experience at Indiana University, Charles has served in technical and IT support roles as a Lead Network Engineer and IT Strategy Business Analyst, respectively. After completing his M.S. in Information Systems (MSIS) from the Kelley School of Business in 2013, Charles returned to Indiana University to collaboratively implement IU’s security policy IT-28, Cyber Risk Mitigation Responsibilities. He focused primarily on cyber risk assessment, IT policy interpretation, and community outreach. In 2015, Charles joined the UISO as a Lead Security Analyst, performing third-party risk assessments, information security reviews, and contributing to the HEISC Security Assessments Working Group. Currently, Charles leads a new extended security team, intent on improving university incident remediation capabilities and the handling of imminent threats, beyond the scope of the traditional security office.
