My primary areas of research interest are on the regulation and structure of the public accounting profession, in particular ethics, legal liability, independence, and comparative regulation.

Since joining the Adelphi University faculty in 2005, I have been actively engaged in international activities, including publication of twenty academic research papers with colleagues in other countries, serving on six doctoral dissertation committees at various international universities, and making numerous invited presentations, primarily in France, but also Canada, Spain, Japan, Colombia and Romania.
