Charl Coetzer is a registered industrial psychologist with more than 12 years’ experience in organisational development, human resources management, talent management, coaching, and leadership development. He is currently employed as the Head of Training and Organisational Development at Basil Read (an international construction company) responsible to enhance organisational and leadership effectiveness. Charl is also a part-time lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch Business School for Executive Development and the managing director of a consulting firm named Wisdomy. He started his working career as psychometrist at an assessment centre, working for clients such as Sasol, Transnet, Shell, BP, and Engin. In 2005, he joined a national furniture manufacturer and retailer as Human Resource Manager. After two years, he was appointed as director and co-owner of the company responsible for human resource management and business development. In 2009 he founded a consulting firm named Performance Intelligence and rendered management consulting services to more than 50 businesses. He furthermore provided sport-consulting services to several professional athletes, teams, and institutions including the Springbok rugby team.

Charl holds a master’s degree (m.com) in industrial psychology and is currently studying towards a PhD degree in leadership. He also completed a brain-based coaching certificate with the Neuro Leadership Institute, a situational leadership certificate with Ken Blanchard Companies (USA), a counselling diploma with the Institute of Natural Learning (UK), and several psychometric accreditation courses. He is currently a member of the Society of Industrial and Organisational Psychologists, the national training committee of SAFCEC, the Health Professions Council of South Africa, and an invited member of the Global Servant Leadership Roundtable.

Charl presented several papers at national and international conferences and published articles in various scientific and non-scientific journals and online platforms. He was also invited as expert guest on the Business Master Class Radio Show on Cliff Central in 2016.

Charl has a passion for leadership development, organisational development, and talent management. His life purpose is to change the world one leader, one organisation at a time.
