King’s Business School
Catherine Chen is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting at King’s Business School. She holds a PhD and MBA from Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University. Before joining King’s, she was a Principal Lecturer at the Department of Accounting and Finance at Middlesex University, where she started as a Senior Lecturer in 2007.
Her research interest lies in corporate governance, executive remuneration, market inefficiency/calendar effects of the stock markets, behavioural discounting, financial scandals and other accounting and finance issues in China. Her work has been published in Journal of Banking and Finance, European Journal of Operational Research, International Business Review, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions & Money.
