Carrie J Fletcher recently completed an M.Sci. degree at London Business School’s Sloan Leadership & Strategy Programme for global business executives. She is also an Affiliate Instructor at Harvard Law School’s Executive Education Program (HLSEE) where she works with law firms and legal departments to develop customised leadership programs serving managing partners, emerging law firm leaders and general counsel from across the globe.

Prior to the Sloan Fellowship, Carrie was the immediate past Executive Director of Harvard Law School’s Executive Education, where she ran the department’s business operations and taught in HSLEE programs for lawyers. She continues to teach for HLSEE, speaks and teaches at conferences, and works privately with with law firms and other organisations to develop and deliver tailored leadership programming. She does a significant of diversity related leadership development work, including designing and teaching in programs for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and for private law firms, as well as working with organisations and leaders on issues of gender equity and the professional advancement of women.

Before joining HLS Executive Education, Carrie was the Executive Director of Law Programs at the Fullbridge Program, where she designed curricula focused on professional and business skills for lawyers, and partnered with legal and other organisations in the development of leadership programming. Prior to her time at Fullbridge, she spent 18 years in both practicing and business-side roles at laege law firms. From 2007 to 2013 she was a member of the Professional Development and Training Team at Goodwin and Procter LLP, where she developed and taught programs for partners, counsel and associates in the areas of leadership development, core professional management skills, substantive legal skills and assessment and implementation of diversity initiatives.

She practiced complex commercial and intellectual property litigation from 1996 to 2007, initially in Chicago, and then at Foley and Lardner’s Boston Office.
