Carol Orlock

Carol Orlock is the author of four novels, including The Hedge, The Ribbon, which won the Western States Book Award, and The Goddess Letters, winner of both the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Award and the Washington state Governor's Writers Award. Her stories and poems have appeared in Ms. Magazine, CALYX Journal, Women of Darkness (Tor Books) and Fine Madness, among others. She has been awarded a Washington state literary fellowship and was selected as a semifinalist for the Iowa Short Fiction Award. When teaching fiction writing, she enjoys showing students key techniques to help their creative ideas come to life in readers' imaginations.
