Carl is a strategic advisor with over 25 years of experience in operations, marketing, merchandising and business development. He has spent the last 15 years in senior-level positions in the retail sector with a large US-based multinational corporation and Canada’s largest membership-based retail solutions group, serving over 800 independent home furnishings retailers. Carl’s expertise lies in helping senior leaders to better leverage technology, analytics and design to create value and sustainable competitive advantage for their organizations. He also advises technology companies on how to tailor their solutions to address ever-changing market needs. Carl recently worked with a team of computer vision (AI) researchers as retail strategy and global commercial lead and has advised on several retail innovation labs, including CieTech and the Bensadoun Retail School of Management at McGill University. He holds a Bachelors in Commerce (Marketing) from Concordia University and an MBA from Queen’s University.
