I am Full Professor at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management at ULB. As holder of the Solvay SA chair of Innovation I teach and perform research in the field of innovation and intellectual property. I have been Dean of the Solvay Brussels School for 6 years and a half, from April 2011 until September 2017. The main projects that have been launched and/or developed include accreditation processes (EQUIS & AACSB), igniting and launching of an elite networked master (the QTEM), the creation of several double degree programs, the launch of 6 Advanced Masters (postgraduate pre-experience one year programmes, including two through double degrees with Politecnico di Milano and Georgetown University), the develoment of Corporate Alliance and Career Services Office and the launch of the CIP (Credited Internship Progamme, whereby our master students spend 4 to 7 month working in a company or institution as full-time interns), pedagogical quality improvements (référentiel de compétence and assurance of learning approach), and the creation of a multidisciplinary research center (iCite) on innovation , technology and entrepreneurship.
I am an external fellow at Bruegel, a Brussels-based think-tank, where I focus on science and technology policies, innovation and regulations. My teaching activities range from bachelor to executive education and concern the economics and management of innovation and intellectual property.
