Background

Brooke Stanley holds a Ph.D. in finance from Texas A&M University, an MBA in finance from the University of Cincinnati, and a B.A. in drama from Kenyon College. Her professional experience includes working for several large corporations such as the Limited, Inc. and Mercantile Stores Co., and as a financial analyst for a privately held publishing company. Stanley’s research interests include corporate governance, managerial compensation, agency problems and financial institutions. Her research has been presented at the FDIC as well as meetings of the Financial Management Association and the Western Finance Association, and has been published in the Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance and the Journal of Financial Economics.  She was most recently an Associate Professor at Winthrop University.
