Broc Rossell is the managing editor at Milkweed Editions. Prior to joining Milkweed he was a professor of creative writing and lecturer in cultural studies. After earning his MFA at the Iowa Writers’ Workshop Broc began his publishing career at Macmillan, where he worked in the educational division of Bedford, Freeman, and Worth.

As a PhD student at the University of Denver he served as an editorial assistant at the Denver Quarterly before joining Brooklyn Arts Press as senior poetry editor in 2011. He has published his own small press, The Elephants, with the Canadian writer Jordan Scott since 2017, and he’s also the author of two poetry collections: Festival (Cleveland State University 2015) and Alameda (selva oscura 2021).
