Brandon Daruna, MBA, NRP, is the chief executive officer of Eagle County Paramedic Services and an EMS nerd. Living in Eagle County, Brandon enjoys being outside with his awesome wife and son, Wyatt. Brandon has worked in the EMS space for more than 20 years, and he values progressive EMS that suspends judgment in favor of high quality patient care and stellar employee support.

Beginning his career in New Orleans, Brandon cut his teeth as an EMT/Vigor at the City of New Orleans while receiving his EMT-I and Paramedic from Delgado College and Charity Hospital. Brandon then worked as a paramedic and educator for West Jefferson Medical Center EMS, an urban/bayou interface district, before being called to Denver by the mountain lifestyle and progressive medicine.

Over the last 15 years, Brandon has had a breadth of emergency service experience, working as a captain for Northglenn Ambulance, ski patrol assistant director at Echo Mountain, FTO with the Denver Health Paramedic Division, Volunteer Fire Lieutenant with the City of Golden, and chief of the Gilpin Ambulance Authority. Brandon currently serves on the The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s EMS system sustainability task force.

Brandon’s professional goals include becoming a transformative leader in emergency services, moving the industry into an era of improved efficiency and fiscal responsibility, while increasing employee support without sacrificing quality or capability.
