Bill MacCartney

Bill MacCartney is a Senior Engineering Manager at Apple, where he leads the Siri Proactive Intelligence team in propagating predictive intelligence across the iOS platform and beyond. Bill is also a Consulting Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University, where he teaches CS224U, “Natural Language Understanding”, a graduate-level course which attracts 150 students per year. Bill was previously a Senior Research Scientist at Google, where his team was responsible for semantic query parsing for Google search and Google Now, handling billions of queries per day across 40 major languages.
