Bill Gartner

Presentation

William B. Gartner holds a joint appointment with the Copenhagen Business School (as a Professor of Entrepreneurship and the Art of Innovation and as Academic Director of the Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship) and California Lutheran University as a Professor of Entrepreneurship.  He is the 2005 winner of the Swedish Entrepreneurship Foundation International Award for outstanding contributions to entrepreneurship research.  His current scholarship focuses on entrepreneurial behavior, entrepreneurship as practice, the hermeneutics of possibility and failure, and the philosophical bases of value creation.

Business Models and Prototypes (Mandatory Course in the Organizational Innovation and Entrepreneurship Masters Program)

Supervision

Supervise students who are in the process of: starting a business, developing an idea, or “creating the future.”  Students apply autoethnographic methods to explore their experiences in the context of the literatures of entrepreneurship, social construction, and value creation that are gleaned from academic theory, empirical evidence, and, insights from practice.
