Biography

Kenan-Flagler Business School

Benson Rosen teaches organizational behavior, human resource management and leadership courses. 

His research investigates issues of empowerment, virtual teams, career management, including managing expatriates'' careers, and the legal environment for business. 

In his consulting, Dr. Rosen addresses total quality management, organizational change, employee empowerment, diversity management and conflict management. He is working with GlaxoSmithKline on a major evaluation project and previously worked with Sonoco Products Company, evaluating the effectiveness of its total quality management effort. 

He has conducted executive education programs for Duke Power, IBM, Kenan Transport, SAS Institute and Sun Microsystems, Progress Energy, W.C. Bradley, U.S. Postal Service and the N.C. Association of Bankers. He serves as the faculty program director for the American Financial Services Association Development Program and the Water Leadership Development Program.

He was vice president for research for the Society for Human Resources Management Foundation for six years. 

Dr. Rosen has served as an expert witness in a number of employment and discrimination cases. 

He received his PhD, MA and BS from Wayne State University.
