Boston University

Barbara Jacobson is an adjunct professor at BU’s Metropolitan College. She is also the programs director with the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition (MassBike), the statewide bike advocacy organization for Massachusetts. MassBike works on legislative efforts for additional funding for bike-related projects and provides technical assistance to communities throughout the state that are looking to improve the bicycling environments for all users.

Barbara works on projects that connect people with place. She focuses on activing the street as place, works with local businesses on revitalization efforts and spearheads community engagement activities. She is a co-founding member of the Massachusetts Vision Zero Coalition and is on the Leadership Council for the Project for Public Spaces.
