Biography

Barbara Fuzesi is an instructor for the Department of Finance & Real Estate ​at DePaul University with more than 17 years of professional leadership experience in strategy, mergers and acquisition (M&A), valuation, corporate accounting, business development, sales management and performance benchmarking. She applies the drive and discipline of a former professional athlete to finance, delivering outcomes across several areas of finance and making impacts through leadership and collaboration.

In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Fuzesi is the chief financial officer of New CPG Company for seven years. In this role, Fuzesi manages financial and investor relationships for several startups. She builds, operates and manages accounting, finance and HR functions for companies ranging from technology to consumer product goods. She is also an advisor for high net-worth individuals and corporations where she evaluates M&A opportunities, creates valuation analysis and drives benchmarking as negotiating opportunities. She is responsible for identifying revenue and operational efficiencies, and developing financial models.

Fuzesi is also an active leader on DePaul’s Vision project to improve students' business skills. She also volunteers as an exercise trainer for youth programs and is licensed Life and Health Insurance Agent.
