Background

M. Audrey Korsgaard is a professor of management and organizational behavior at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. She earned a bachelor''s degree in psychology from Rutgers University and both her master''s and doctorate degrees in psychology from New York University. Korsgaard joined the faculty at the University of South Carolina in 1991 and previously served as a visiting professor at the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. Korsgaard teaches doctoral, masters and undergraduate courses in organizational behavior, organizational development and training. 

Research

Korsgaard''s research centers on trust, prosocial values and organizational justice as explanatory frameworks for understanding interpersonal and intragroup cooperation. She has studied these issues in a variety of work settings, including supervisor-subordinate relationships, investor-entrepreneur relations, work teams and joint ventures. Her work has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology and Strategic Management Journal.
