Strategic Analysis and Planning

Prepared or facilitated the development and implementation of strategic plans; conducted strategic analyses and strategic marketing; provided advice on the use of economic, statistical and other analytical methodologies. Clients include Vodafone, Stora Enso, PriceWaterhouse Coopers; European & Pacific Investment Management; AGF Management Limited; Tidy Welders Inc.

Cost-Benefit Analysis

Conducted CBA projects of a nuclear power plant in Puerto Rico, provision of power lines to remote areas, solid waste disposal, protective dykes, water metering, hospital room sizes, infrastructure investment for timber harvesting. Prepared position papers on the value of life and cost of accidents. Reviewed methodology for estimating the economic welfare impacts of privatisation in New Zealand. Clients include Westinghouse Corporation; District of Stewart; Capital Regional District; Province of British Columbia; City of Kamloops; The Treasury, New Zealand; Providence Health Care.

Public Policy Analysis

Evaluated or reviewed policies including broadcasting of educational issues, NSF/RANN research programs, computer-assisted instruction and compensatory education, national research centres. Prepared position papers on the education of low achieving pupils.
