Biography
Annie Médina is Professor of Law in the Department of Economics, Law and Social Sciences at ESCP Europe. She was Dean of Faculty from 2002 to 2006.
She holds a doctorate in Law as well as a Post-Doctoral Qualification to Supervise Research in Law (Habilitée a diriger des recherches). She has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1976.
At ESCP Europe she is Scientific Director of the part-time Specialized Master’s in Financial and Fiscal Engineering («Ingénierie financière et fiscale»), a programme she founded six years ago.
Professor Medina is member of the academic board of the National Institute of Labour, Employment and Professional Training (l''Institut National du Travail, de l''Emploi et de la Formation professionnelle). She taught at the Law Faculty of Paris XI until 2004.
After specializing in the law of civil liability, particularly as regards issues concerning clinical negligence in hospitals, she concentrated on Labour Law which she has taught at ESCP Europe and the Law Faculty of Paris XI. She also teaches contract law and leads  - seminars on the law relating to Directors’ Liability for company executives, and criminal law in the financial sphere.
Her publications cover Labour Law, the law of security and the criminal offence of misuse of company property in respect of which she is recognized as one of the leading authorities.
