In finance, he worked at Ahab Capital Management, a distressed hedge fund, and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (since acquired by Credit Suisse), where he worked in the Space and Satellite Group.

Research

Anil examines the management of digital platforms by participating firms and by the platform itself. As intermediaries that allow multiple sets of users to transact directly, platforms digitize information, communication, and transactions, allowing for near instant availability. Anil is interested in understanding how the acceleration in the aggregation and sharing of information affects firms and platforms.

In his current research, Anil look at how firms manage social media amidst the diminishment in the distance between the firm’s boundaries and outside stakeholders. He is interested in how social media has diffused through various industries and how it impacts organizational decisions and strategies.
