Mendoza College of Business
Andrew “Andy” Wendelborn is excited to serve as Mendoza's assistant dean for undergraduate studies, bringing his well-honed skills to the college's undergraduate population. In his role as assistant dean, Andy serves as the dean's designee for all undergraduate matters. His responsibilities include management of the daily operations of the undergraduate studies office, academic guidance and application of the university's Undergraduate Academic Code, strategic planning and budgeting, coordination with academic departments, and serving as the college's representative on numerous university committees.
Andy joined the Mendoza Office of Undergraduate Studies in July 2019 as an assistant director for advising and administration, providing academic counseling for all students. Before this, he spent more than five years with Mendoza’s Graduate Business Programs office, where he served as assistant director and then associate director of student services for more than 450 traditional MBA, MS in Accountancy, and MS in Management students. Active in many areas of the larger campus community, he is also a Term Assistant Teaching Professor for the Moreau First Year Experience seminar.
A "Double Domer", Andy earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the College of Arts & Letters in 1999 and a Master of Nonprofit Administration degree from Mendoza in 2012. He holds a Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement methodology, and is currently a candidate in the Doctor of Education program in Leadership and Learning in Organizations at Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of Education and Human Development.
In his spare time, Andy serves on the board of directors for the Youth Service Bureau of St. Joseph County and the Friends of the Snite Museum of Art. He is an avid traveler (most recently to Rome and Vatican City), gardener, British and Notre Dame history buff, and trivia enthusiast. He enjoys time with his nephews, Tucker and Myles, and is a proud adopted dog dad to Grace, his third German Shepherd Dog.
