Assistant Professor of Social Work at Nyack College

Biography

Dr. Yoon has 20 years of experiences in clinical social work and psychotherapy. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-R), a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), a Certified Cognitive Behavior Therapist and Diplomate (Academy of Cognitive Therapy), and a Registered Play Therapist –Supervisor (RPT-S). He earned his doctorate in clinical social work from the University of Pennsylvania and his MSW from the Silberman School of Social Work. He also completed the one-year global clinical scholars’ research training program at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Yoon is an Assistant Professor of Social Work at the Nyack College School of Social Work. In addition, he is the Vice President of integrated and value-based care for The Child Center of NY. His research interests include the social determinants of health, evidence-based interventions for minority clients in the U.S., and premature treatment dropout.
