Dr. Evangelisto graduated Summa Cum Laude from the College of New Jersey, majoring in Biology, and received her MD from Temple University School of Medicine. She remained at Temple for residency in Internal Medicine, where she was Chief Medical Resident. She completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Pennsylvania and studied rheumatologic musculoskeletal ultrasound in Leeds, England.Dr. Evangelisto currently certified in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound by the American College of Rheumatology(RhMSUS Certified).
Dr. Evangelisto joined Arthritis, Rheumatic and Back Disease Associates in 2010 after an academic appointment as Associate Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ-Cooper University Hospital. She is a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology and served on its Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Task Force.
Dr. Evangelisto’s expertise spans the full spectrum of rheumatological illness, but she is particularly interested in the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound. She lectures nationally on musculoskeletal ultrasound and is a past president of USSONAR, an organization dedicated to educating rheumatology fellows in this technology. Dr. Evangelisto has been named Top Doc in South Jersey Magazine and SJ Magazine.
