Amir Shoham

Dr. Amir Shoham is an Associate Professor of Finance and International Business at the Fox School of Business Temple University. Dr. Shoham received his Ph.D. from Ben Gurion University, Israel. He also holds a Master degree in economics and a MBA. In recent years Dr. Shoham’s main research area is dealing with the impact of linguistic gender marking on gender role in society. His gender related research has appeared in a number of academic journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Organizational Behavior, and Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization. He was awarded twice the SSE/WAIB Award for Increased Gender Awareness in International Business Research. In addition to teaching finance and economic courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, he has extensive experience in executive education programs in the US, Europe and Asia. He has taught and conducted executive programs at Ben gurion university, Israel; Hebrew University, Israel; The College of Management Academic Studies, Israel; Rutgers University, China and Singapore; Baruch College, Taiwan, China and Singapore; The International School of Economics, Georgia; International School of Management, France; Jiao Tong University, China; Temple University, USA and Columbia. He was on the Board of Directors of two public firms, worked has a consultant with a number of corporate and government clients, and provided legal opinion to courts.
