Amber Ockfen

Amber Ockfen is a senior technical writer at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Her day job consists of editing procedures, narratives and internal wikis for data center personnel. Ockfen is passionate about helping folks discover their inner writer — she’s facilitated more than 90 writing workshops to 24k+ learners.

At Amazon, she drives an internal writing workshop series with affinity groups and volunteers. Ockfen is also an advisor for the Asians@Amazon affinity group’s Professional Development Committee. Before Amazon, Ockfen was a senior research analyst for government contracting market research at Deltek. She studied journalism at Washington State University.
