Aliza Sovani is a Canadian landscape architect and interdisciplinary design and planning professional with experience spanning 10+ countries. She has been a visiting design critic and lecturer on select topics within environmental design, urbanism and landscape management at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, Carleton University's School of Architecture and Urbanism, and the University of Toronto's Daniels School of Architecture, Landscape and Design.

Aliza is trilingual in English, French and Spanish. She completed a Master in Landscape Architecture with advanced placement at Harvard University, along with certificates in Green Building, Permaculture Design and Cultural Heritage. She undertook in-field research at the UNESCO World Heritage Site: The Alhambra, Generalife and Albayzin in Granada, Spain. Prior to this, Aliza obtained a degree in Architecture from Carleton University, Canada with a semester at İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Turkey.

In her previous senior leadership role at one of Canada's largest urban landscape management companies, Strathmore Landscape Management, Aliza was a speaker at The World Design Summit. Aliza's work has been published in media channels such as Architizer, Archnet, the Urban Land Institute, the AAPQ and the International Landscape Collaborative. In 2020, Aliza contributed to urban environmental planning policy development and implementation as part of the Toulouse 'Ville Rose, Ville Verte' 2019 Urban Plan for the City of Toulouse, France. She currently serves as the Co-Founder and Director of Lili Media & Design Lab, an environmentally-focused multimedia production & climate research lab intersecting science, journalism and design.
