Biography
Cockrell School of Engineering
Dr. Sari has over 20 years of experience in analysis of Onshore and Offshore structures. He has professional experience in dynamic analysis and design of Onshore and Offshore structures and equipment to resist blast loads from high explosives, and vapor cloud explosions. He has analyzed and designed a variety of blast resistant structures including reinforced concrete structures, unreinforced and reinforced masonry structures, wood and steel frame structures. Dr. Sari has also performed innovative and cost efficient upgrades for reinforced concrete, steel and masonry structures to resist blast loads. He managed several projects on blast resistance evaluation of airports, court houses, federal buildings and buildings in petrochemical facilities.

Dr. Sari has 20 + years of experience as a structural engineer in onshore and offshore oil and gas industry. He is the Director of Omega Advanced Engineering and Risk Consulting, "Omega-Risk" in Houston.
His key experience areas are offshore structures, blast/fire engineering, finite element analysis, earthquake engineering, reliability analysis, and fatigue/crack growth analysis. He is the author of more than 80 technical publications in these areas and he is also a member of ASCE, API, and ISO technical committees regarding Offshore Structures.
He holds P.H.D. degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
