Research Summary
My main research area has been the Great Depression of the inter-war years. I have worked extensively on Germany''s macroeconomic performance during that period, including the reparation conflict and the German debt default. More recently my work has moved into US monetary and labour policies during that period. Other areas of interest include measurement and analysis of historical business cycles and their propagation.
