Aia Sarycheva is a Nonresident Fellow at the Brookings Metropolitan Policy Program. She is an investment professional with expertise in venture capital markets and early stage technology investing, focusing on the intersection of innovation, finance, policy, and economic development.
Aia is an investor at Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund, where she invests in U.S.-based companies located in undercapitalized regions. She backs high-growth technologies that are bringing innovation to legacy industries.
Aia has focused on analyzing emerging technology trends, assessing entrepreneurship’s capacity to catalyze place-based economic development, and understanding the impact of technology companies on society. She is interested in the role of investment and economic systems in shaping incentives and impacting inequality.
Prior to joining Revolution, Aia was an Analyst in the Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in New York City. In this role, she focused on executing project finance transactions for private sector and government clients.
Aia is an MBA candidate at Harvard Business School. She received her B.A. in Ethics, Politics, and Economics from Yale University.
