Harvard Medical School

Dr. Adeline Boatin is an Ob/Gyn specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) in Boston. She is also a researcher and educator at Harvard Medical School.

She received her undergraduate education at Harvard College and her medical degree at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons University. She completed an MPH with a focus on International health at the Harvard School of Public Health and then completed a four-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Harvard Integrated Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Boatin is currently an Assistant Professor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. She is also an affiliate faculty for the Center for Global Health at MGH and the Program for Global Surgery and Social Change at Harvard Medical School. In addition to clinical care and resident training at MGH, she is an NIH-funded clinical researcher with a focus on reducing global reproductive health inequities, particularly around the provision of safe and quality obstetric and gynecologic surgery in low resource settings. Her current research is based in Mbarara, Uganda.

Dr. Boatin practices general obstetrics and gynecology at MGH. Some of her particular clinical interests include colposcopy, gynecologic surgery including management of fibroids, heavy bleeding, benign ovarian cysts and intrapartum care for laboring women.

She strongly believes in educating and mentorship and has received the AK Goodman award for mentorship from the Dept of OB/GYN at MGH and the Young Mentor Award from Harvard Medical School.
