Dr. Abraham Wai is a specialist emergency physician working in Emergency medicine Unit. He received his medical degree and law degree at the Chinese University of Hong Kong at 2004 and 2010 respectively, and MBA at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2013.

Before joining HKU, Abraham worked at Emergency Department at Prince of Wales Hospital, teaching medical students on clinical methods, emergency medicine, medical law and professionalism. He also conducted research on medicolegal issues and complaint management. He also served in Hospital Authority Head Office overseeing technology assessment and management, through the promotion and application of evidence-based medicine practice. During his service at Tseung Kwan O Hospital as associate consultant, he coordinated the clinical simulation training at Kowloon East Cluster of Hospital Authority, and coordinated advanced disaster training for Hong Kong Academy of Medicine. He underwent Comprehensive and Advanced Simulation Training Programs at Harvard University in 2016.
