Biography

Celine Abecassis-Moedas is Affiliate Professor at ESCP-Europe, Paris Campus, where she is the Academic Director of Lectra Chair "Fashion and Technology" and the Deputy Director of the Institute for Innovation and Competitiveness (i7). She is also Associate Professor in Strategic and Innovation Management at Catolica Lisbon School of Business and Economics (CLSBE), Universidade Catolica Portuguesa.

 

She holds a Ph.D. in Management from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris and she is a graduate from Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan and La Sorbonne, Paris. Before joining Catolica, Celine was a professor at Queen Mary – University of London. She also worked in Business Development at Lectra in New York and as a Consultant at AT Kearney in London. Celine was as International Faculty Fellow at MIT Sloan School of Management in 2011-2012.

 

Celine teaches in the areas of Strategy, Consulting, Innovation Management and Luxury Management. Her research interests include Design Management, New Product Development, Innovation Management, and Entrepreneurship in Creative Industries. Her articles have been published in various international journals including Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Entrepreneurship and Small Business, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Creativity and Innovation Management and Journal of Product Innovation Management.

 

Celine is a member of EURAM (European Academy of Management), EGOS (European Group on Organisation Studies), and Academy of Management (BPS, Entrepreneurship and TIM divisions). She is part of the editorial board of European Management Journal. Celine is Conseiller du Commerce Exterieur de la France and non-executive board member at Europac.
