About the course

This high impact course presents a hands-on approach to strategic management, with a balanced mix between strategy development and execution issues. From a managerial perspective, the course will give participants an understanding of the key leverage points and decision areas which they may influence, to better meet organisational objectives.

Developing a Compelling Strategy presents a unified way of thinking about the issues of strategic choice and the management of change. Strategic choice involves searching for the most attractive option to solve a business issue; while the management of change, from a strategic perspective, is concerned with innovation and the transformation of resources and skills into strategic capabilities that provide the basis for sustainable achievement of organisational objectives. Strategic management is also a course on strategic planning in that it provides a planning framework around which the issues of strategic choice and change can be discussed.
