Biography

Zhiyong "John" Liu is a Professor of Insurance & Risk Management in the Scott College of Business at Indiana State University, and he is also a research fellow at the Networks Financial Institute. John has been teaching various insurance courses and some finance courses. His research interests include insurance and risk management, law and economics, industrial organization, antitrust, and corporate finance. Prior to joining ISU, John had taught at Georgia State University and Tsinghua University. John has a B.A. degree in economics from Wuhan University, an M.A. degree in applied economics from Peking University, and a Ph.D. degree in managerial economics and strategy from Northwestern University. In 2017, Dr. Liu was recognized for his research with college's Exemplary Scholarship award.
