Biography
Singapore Management University
I am an Assistant Professor in Operations Management of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB) at the Singapore Management University. I obtained my Ph.D. in Operations Research at the H. Stewart School of Industrial & Systems Engineering of Georgia Institute of Technology, under the supervision of Prof. Turgay Ayer.
I am broadly interested in healthcare data analytics. In particular, my research takes a problem-driven approach and focuses on improving healthcare services and public health. My work has been selected as finalists in 2019 INFORMS MSOM Best Student Paper Competition and 2018 INFORMS Public Sector Operations Research Best Paper Award.
Recently, I have been working on a machine learning algorithm to detect county-level COVID-19 outbreaks. This algorithm extends the classical generalized random forests algorithm to models with variable treatment intensity. See our weekly updates on recent COVID-19 outbreaks in U.S. and open source code on GitHub.
