National University of Singapore
Zeewan’s primary research lies at the intersection of labour, population aging, and technological changes. Zeewan’s endeavors in this stream of research reflects her deep curiosity and concerns regarding the future of work and the roles to be played by human workers in the society ridden with digitization, automation, and artificial intelligence. Her projects examine the impact of technological changes on various aspects of the labour market, including firms’ hiring decisions and training schemes, job creation and destruction, and workers labour supply decisions. In another stream of research, Zeewan evaluates healthcare reforms in light of their influences on the labour market within the U.S. context.
In addition to her research, Zeewan’s teaching experience includes serving as an instructor for statistics and econometrics at both graduate and undergraduate levels at University of Southern California (2015-2020) and at Cornell University (2011-2013).
