Hwang Yun Hye is an Assistant Professor in the Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programme at the Department of Architecture, National University of Singapore. With MLA degrees from Seoul National University and the Harvard Graduate School of Design, she has been teaching landscape design studios, detail design, and research dissertation since 2009.

Yun Hye previously worked as a chief design director for many public housing landscape projects in Korea and taught design studios at Seoul Institute of the Arts for seven years. Her research speculates on emerging demands of landscapes in the Asian equatorial urban context by exploring dynamic and sustainable landscape management against highly manicured green, multifunctional role of urban landscapes beyond quantity of green, and actionable design strategies for low-income communities in fast growing megacities.
