Biography

Dr Choo Yuen graduated from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore with 1st Class Hons.in Bachelor of Arts (Chinese). She received her Masters of Philosophy (MPhil) in Humanities (Linguistics) from the Hongkong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) and her PhD in Chinese Linguistics from NTU, Singapore. She was also awarded with the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal Award.

Dr Choo will be in charge of coordinating and strategizing the Chinese language ‘s curriculum development and teaching materials for the Orbix International Schools. She will also be working closely with all the Mandarin teachers from the three schools on all aspects of developing the Chinese language.

Her vast experience in the field of Chinese education will certainly serve our students well and provide us with the impetus to achieve an even higher level of excellence in the Chinese Language. This is also in line with our mission of offering exemplary bilingual education.
