Biography

Yu Ye is an assistant professor in the Department of Architecture, College of Architecture and Urban Planning at Tongji University, China. He gained his PhD degree from University of Hong Kong and he had worked as a Post-doctoral researcher in Future Cities Lab, ETH Zurich. His research mainly focuses on data-informed and computational urban design utilizing multi-sourced urban data and newly-emerged analytical techniques like virtual reality and machine learning. He has published a series of journal articles on Environment and Planning B, Urban Geography, Urban Design International, etc. He is also the PI of 2018 CTBUH International Research Seed Fund.
