Biography
Management School ESSCA
Yixiong Huang is currently an assistant professor at the ESSCA School of Management. He receives his Ph.D. in Public Administration from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021. His doctoral dissertation explores the factors influencing the sustainable development of China’s microfinance social enterprises from the perspective of the public value theory. Yixiong has also managed and participated in several nationwide surveys in China.
He also holds a Master of Science degree in Modern Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford (England) in 2013, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Political Science from the University of Alberta (Canada) in 2012. Yixiong was a Rajawali Foundation Institute Fellow for Asia at the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government.
Yixiong’s main research interests are now focusing on microfinance in China, “new philanthropy” and social innovations, EU-China relations, and comparative public policies.
