Yew Kee Ho

Professor of Accounting at Singapore Institute of Technology

Biography

Professor Ho Yew Kee is the Associate Provost (SkillsFuture and Staff Development) of Singapore Institute of Technology. He oversees the Continuing Education and Training (CET) for adults and the development of the academic staff at the university. Concurrently, he is also Professor of Accounting at SIT.

Professor Ho was previously Professor of Accounting and Head, Department of Accounting of the NUS Business School, The National University of Singapore (NUS). He had also held various positions at the NUS Business School including: Vice-Dean (Fin & Admin), Chairman, Office of Executive Education, Co-Director of MBA Programme amongst others. At NUS, he was also Master, King Edward VII Hall of Residence.

Professor Ho spends most of his other time serving the communities and charities. He is currently a director of a listed insurance company in the Singapore Stock Exchange. He currently serves on the board of St Luke’s Eldercare, Dover Park Hospice, Prison Fellowship Singapore, CBMC (Singapore) Ltd. He is also a member, Advisory Council, Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Sri Lanka and sits on the Council of CPA (Australia) Singapore Division. Previously he had served as board member of The Boys’ Brigade in Singapore and Asia, St Luke’s Hospital, Kuo Chuan Presbyterian Schools Management Committee, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Accounting and Corporate Reporting Authority (Singapore), Singapore Tax Academy amongst others.

Professor Ho obtained his Bachelor (First Class) and Master of Economics from Monash University, Australia. He also obtained his Master of Science in Industrial Administration and PhD. from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), USA. Professionally, he is a Fellow CPA Australia and a Fellow Chartered Accountant Singapore. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification and is a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Director.
