Yevgen Bogodistov is a postdoctoral research associate at the ProcessLab centre of Frankfurt School. Yevgen performs research in the field of strategic management with a focus on behavioural aspects of strategic management decisions. He investigates dynamic (managerial) capabilities in different industries (e.g., banking, insurance, health care, and military) as well as psychological microfoundations of capabilities such as affective states of managers, emotional climate and its influence on capabilities, and burnout.

For practitioners, Yevgen applies the concept of organizational capabilities in the area of lean six sigma for banks and insurance firms. He also investigates transformation capabilities in the health care sector and dynamic capabilities in the military domain.

Yevgen is a passionate teacher and researcher. He holds courses on “Organization & Strategy” and “Corporate Design & Behaviour” at Frankfurt School. He received a series of awards as the best reviewer at the Academy of Management conference. He has published in a variety of academic journals such as International Journal of Innovation Management, Journal of Risk Finance, Baltic Journal of Management, Frontiers in Psychology. Furthermore, he contributed to practice-oriented journals like Banking and Information Technology, Das Gesundheitswesen, Die Bank, and Risiko Manager.

Qualifications

In 1998 – 2002 Yevgen studied international (economic) relations at the Dnipro National University, Ukraine (Master of International Economic Relations). He was enrolled in the master program “European Studies” at the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) in 2002 – 2005 (Master of European Studies). From 2005 till 2008 Yevgen held positions from a leading economist to a COO at the BrokBusinessCentre ltd, Ukraine. From 2009 to 2011 he worked as a project coordinator at the Ukraine Office of the Konrad-Adenauer-Foundation in Kiev, Ukraine. From 2011 untill 2014 Yevgen obtains a doctor title (Dr. rer. pol.) in the graduate program “Dynamic Capabilities and Relationships”, founded by the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and the German Graduate School of Management and Law, Heilbronn). Afterwards, Yevgen worked as a postdoctoral research associate at the Neu-Ulm University of Applied Sciences in 2014-2016. Since December 2016 he is a lecturer and postdoctoral research associate at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
