Dr Johnson Bhembe practices General Adult and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr Johnson Bhembe is Board Certified and has been in practice for over a decade and treats a broad range of diagnoses.

Her experience includes Medical Director of a Child Inpatient Facility, Associate Training Director of a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Training Program, and developer of, advocate for and consultant to community service entities providing mental health care to pediatric populations.

She is a school consultant to the public and therapeutic school settings, is a consultant to family medicine practices and is versed in safety assessments for at risks youth in schools.

Dr Johnson Bhembe sits on the Board of ROAD, a supportive structure for low-income community women managing depression. She is also on the Advisory Board for and a provider to The Center for Family Connections, a therapeutic service agency for families managing adoption.

She is a staff psychiatrist at Cambridge Health Alliance, and an Associate Professor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. Dr Johnson Bhembe sits on the Harvard Medical School Inter-Society Multicultural Fellows Committee, as well as, serves as a Faculty member for the Harvard Medical School Community Service Committee.

Dr Johnson Bhembe is Medical Director for the Child Development and Educational Counseling Center in Malden, MA and she is the Director of Community Minority Affairs Office at the Cambridge Health Alliance Department of Psychiatry. Dr Johnson Bhembe was featured with twelve other Boston residents in a NOVA health documentary in 2007.
