Dr. Feaster is Chief Medical Information Officer at CHOC Children’s Hospital. He came to CHOC in 2012 from Stanford University and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Feaster has been involved in Information Technology for over forty years, and has helped several hospitals where he’s worked implement information systems. Dr. Feaster received his MBA in 1993 and has held several medical administrative positions. One of his many roles at CHOC is to help design and implement technology to support population management, both for current and future well and “at risk” populations. He also directs CHOC’s analytics team which supports hospital operations, clinical care and CHOC’s medical intelligence initiatives. He has helped guide the organization through MU Stage 2 readiness and the organization’s recently awarded HIMSS Stage 7 EMR Adoption designation and Most Wired status. During his clinical career, Dr. Feaster has maintained busy practices in Pediatric Critical Care and Pediatric Anesthesia. He is Board Certified in Pediatrics, Anesthesia and Clinical Informatics and still maintains a part-time Pediatric Anesthesia practice in addition to his IT responsibilities.
