Prof. Dr. Willem van Rhenen holds the Chair of Engagement & Productivity at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. He studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam and obtained his doctoral degree with his dissertation “From stress to engagement” in 2008. He is (co-)author of numerous scientific articles.
Other positions
Willem is occupational physician and executive consultant at ArboNed B.V. In addition he has been Chief Medical Officer and member of the Executive Board at ArboNed B.V. and 365 B.V. from 2005 until 2013.
Since 2010 Willem has been the Ombudsman for PostNL (formerly TNT). From 2009 on, he has been a member of the Dutch Chamber of Social Medicine (Kamer van Sociale Geneeskunde). Furthermore, he has been a member of multiple task groups in the field of social, preventive and occupational medicine.
In addition, Willem has been guest lecturer at Corvu (AMC), NSPOH, Care & Cure, PSW, RPMS, Utrecht University, Erasmus University and Instituut voor Arbeidsrecht & HRM. He is frequently invited as a (keynote) speaker to seminars, conferences and workshops on social, preventive and occupational medicine, and is frequently asked to attend meetings of employers and employees.
