Biography

Wei Yang is a fourth-year doctoral student in Management at McCombs School of Business, the University of Texas Austin. Her research interests lie in the intersection of innovation, strategy and entrepreneurship. Wei currently studies two interrelated themes: 1) the competition and collaboration between new ventures and incumbent firms at the emergence of path-breaking technologies 2) the influences of external investors and intermediaries on corporate strategies under technological uncertainties. Wei received her B. A. in Economics and English Literature and M.S. in Management from Peking University, China. She also holds a Master of Finance degree from the University of Hong Kong.
