Wayne S. Maynard CSP, CPE, ALCM, is Product Director Workers' Compensation line of business within Liberty Mutual Insurance with specialty of Ergonomics and Tribology (slips, trips and falls). Since 1995, Wayne has held leadership positions with Liberty Mutual Risk Control in Ergonomics and Tribology safety practice. He works closely with the Liberty Mutual Risk Control Services organization and other business units within Liberty Mutual including Product Management, Underwriting, Claims and the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety on development of high end products and tools that support book of business and target industry strategies. Wayne’s former roles at Liberty Mutual include Manager of Technical Services and Product Development at the Liberty Mutual Research Institute for Safety, Hopkinton, MA. In this position, Wayne led a team of Risk Control product managers responsible for development of Ergonomics, Tribology, Manufacturing Technology, Transportation, Construction and Organizational Safety Performance and Return to Work service tools, consulting resources and training for Liberty Mutual’s Risk Control organization. He co-led with the Research Institute for Safety, Knowledge Transfer and Exchange (KTE) or the process linking research to practitioners and practitioners to research.

Wayne has 35 years of experience all with Liberty Mutual and has authored/co-authored numerous articles and presented many times at industry and safety conferences on slip, trip and fall prevention and belongs to several technical committees on ergonomics, pedestrian walkway safety and footwear. Wayne received a B.A. degree in Zoology from the University of Maine, Orono, ME and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE), and holds the Associate in Loss Control Management (ALCM) designation.
